Ecosystem Site Visit

As part of Photonics North, we are pleased to invite you to an exclusive industrial tour showcasing the expertise and innovation of Québec’s photonics ecosystem. This unique activity will provide attendees with the opportunity to visit the facilities of four leading companies and innovation centers, connect with industry experts, and experience cutting-edge technology demonstrations. 

As space is limited, we kindly ask you to confirm your attendance as soon as possible to secure your spot for this unique behind-the-scenes experience at the heart of Québec’s photonics innovation community.

Schedule:

  • 8:15 a.m. - Departure from the Convention Centre
  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Visit to TeraXion, Luqia, and Ciena
  • 12:30 p.m.  - Lunch and demonstrations at EXFO
  • 1:45 p.m. - Departure from EXFO to return to the Convention Centre

 

Ciena

Ciena develops high-performance optical networking technologies that enable the transmission of massive volumes of data over fiber-optic networks. Its High-Speed Photonic Components (HSPC) group designs advanced components such as lasers, modulators, and photoreceivers for ultra-high-speed communications. These technologies power networks supporting 5G, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Ciena also develops coherent optical modems capable of efficiently converting digital and optical signals using advanced signal processors. The company helps service providers and data centers increase capacity, reduce latency, and improve the efficiency of global networks.

EXFO

EXFO develops smarter test solutions for the global communications industry. Network equipment manufacturers, photonic integrated circuit (PIC) developers, component vendors, and academic and research laboratories worldwide rely on EXFO solutions for repeatable and accurate results. EXFO’s test solutions help customers take their products from lab-to-fab and from fab-to-live deployment. During the visit, attendees will experience demonstrations including trench coupling wafer testing, 1.6T transceiver validation, and hollow-core fiber OTDR testing. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and engage with EXFO’s technical experts.
